Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using TrueTrack ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

TrueTrack is a record-keeping tool for income, expenses, mileage, and quarterly tax estimates. It is not a tax, legal, or financial advisor. All calculations are estimates based on figures and rates you provide. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of your records and for filing and paying the correct amount of tax.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when registering and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for all activity on your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

4. Subscriptions, Billing & Trial

  • TrueTrack is offered on a paid subscription (monthly or yearly) following an optional 7-day free trial.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your payment method until canceled.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically. You may cancel at any time from your Profile; access continues through the end of the paid period.
  • Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice before your next renewal.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to violate the rights of others.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' data.
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with the operation of the Service.
  • Upload malicious code or use the Service to harass anyone.

7. Your Content

You retain all rights to the data you enter into TrueTrack. You grant us a limited license to store and process your data solely to provide the Service.

8. Intellectual Property

The TrueTrack name, brand, software, and content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable laws. You may not copy or redistribute them without permission.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that calculations are accurate, complete, or current with IRS or state tax law. Consult a licensed CPA, tax professional, or attorney before relying on any figure shown.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TrueTrack and its operators are not liable for any tax penalty, interest, audit outcome, lost profits, or indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

You may stop using TrueTrack at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which TrueTrack's operators are based, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
